| | I have commitment issues - commitment to books, that is. It's really hard for me to pick just one book and stick with it if I don't devote a day or two solely to reading that book.
That's not to say that I don't finish books I start. I'd say I finish about 75% or more of the books I really get into (here "really get into" is defined as roughly a quarter of the book). I just have a hard time only reading that one book, or even just that one book plus the books I'm required to read for class.
Like right now, for example. The books on my list to read and/or contemplate (school books requiring contemplation in addition to reading) include: -12th Night -Ways of Seeing -5 Paths to the Love of Your Life -When People are Big and God is Small -Naked Pictures of Famous People -I Suffer Not A Woman (A closer look at 1st Timothy) -The Bible (Listed last, but certainly not the least, for clarification.)
It's not that I'm not interested in any of the books either. The problem is that I'm really quite devoted to all of them, so I can't justify spending all of my time one just one of them. The other problem is that I don't want to do anything else, other than read. I also have a whole stack of books lined up waiting to be added to the pile.
Mmmmm bibliophilia.
